Joint research centre of MIN and WiSo faculty
The question of how climate, nature and the environment will develop in the future cannot be answered by one scientific discipline alone. This requires not only interdisciplinary research, but ideally also cross-faculty research.
The climate and natural sciences and the social sciences at the university have been working closely and successfully together for a long time. In order to further intensify this process, the two faculties have founded the Earth and Society Research Hub (ESRAH).
ESRAH has linked the Center for Earth System Research and Sustainability (CEN) and the Centre for Sustainable Society Research (CSS) to form a new joint centre since July 2024. The two founding institutions will be merged into it in the medium term.
