Please note that the deadline for the most recent call for applications has expired.
Outstanding bachelor’s and master’s theses addressing climate-change- and climate-protection-related topics can be submitted.
Final papers focusing on the natural sciences, social sciences, economics, or humanities and submitted at the University of Hamburg are welcome.
To be eligible, papers should be of exceptional quality and focus on comprehensive climate research.
This particularly means addressing socially relevant questions that will soon arise due to climate change or which have already become pressing.
The “Young Climate Scientists Award” is announced every two years.
How to apply
Candidates can be nominated by members of the ESRAH or can self-nominate. There is no age limit.
Please submit:
- the final thesis
- a motivational letter (if self-nominating) or written recommendation (if nominated by an ESRAH member)
- your curriculum vitae
A jury with representatives of the ESRAH, University of Hamburg and the Gesellschaft Harmonie will select the winning candidates.
